About Me:
Flying has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Since I didn't grow up around airplanes, I instead surrounded myself with drawings, books, videos, paper airplanes, models, you name it. After college I followed the pragmatic path of engineering, which took me from the cornfields of Ohio to SF, NYC, and eventually Boston. I logged hours punching keyboards, and for many years aviation remained a dream.
After landing in Cambridge, Mass, I found out about East Coast Aero Club, and immediately called to book an intro lesson. A week later I climbed into a shiny green-and-white Piper, fired up, and the rest is history.
The subsequent 2 years were a total blast -- I earned my pilot and instructor certifications in one fell swoop, studying and training nonstop alongside my friends Elliot and Jack at ECAC while continuing to work full-time at Google. It was a lot of hard work and a TON of fun!!!
I'm now blessed not only to be able to fly for fun, but to also give back to the community -- what a dream come true!
